Cathryn Somrani
Counsellor & Psychotherapist

I am trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor: I work with various therapeutic approaches, depending on your needs and preferences.

Although there are differences between counselling and psychotherapy, both work towards the same common goal of improving your well-being.

Counselling is often more focused work. Usually this involves a particular issue which you are looking to resolve or come to terms with, and is often shorter term.

Psychotherapy is usually more in-depth and exploratory. You might not know exactly what's wrong or it might feel too confusing to put into words. It often involves you becoming more aware of your patterns of behaviour, giving you better understanding and more choices. This work tends to be open-ended.
